This is a custom built baritone guitar; jumbo size body with a Florentine cutaway.
The guitar has a 685mm (27”) scale length. The 13 fret neck eliminates any over stretching of the left-arm, making this a surprisingly easy guitar to play.
As with all of my guitars, this baritone is built to the highest standard from fine tonewoods. The guitar is constructed using beautiful English walnut for the back and sides and Bear claw Sitka spruce for the soundboard. Ebony head overlay, fingerboard and bridge. The mahogany neck features black and red veneer laminations, a double action truss-rod and two carbon-fibre reinforcement strips.
Macassar ebony and contrasting red, black and white lines are used for the rosette, bindings and purflings. This design theme was a result of direct collaboration with the client.
The guitar is also fitted with a L.R. Baggs i-beam transducer: its volume control can just be seen inside the sound hole. The tuners are high quality Gotoh 510.
