Hand Made Classical Guitars

As with all my instruments, my classical guitars are entirely hand made; this even includes details such as the mosaic rosettes which contain over two thousand separate pieces of wood.

My classical guitars are built using the traditional system of seven fans struts and a 650mm scale length. My aim is to produce a beautifully crafted instrument with an even response across and up and down the fingerboard.

I use either spruce or cedar sound boards according to the client's taste and can offer either French polish or an environmentally friendly lacquer as a finish. I prefer to use Indian rosewood for the back and sides, its tonal qualities and structural stability are second to none; although other types of wood are also available on request, this includes Brazilian rosewood.

Details such purflings, choice of tuners, width of fingerboard, action etc are all discussed with the clients to ensure complete satisfaction. All guitars can be supplied with a Hiscox case.
