Custom Nylon
This particular guitar answers the question, “Why should I
choose a custom made guitar?” Internally this guitar is constructed as a
traditional classical using a system of fan struts.
Externally, the design picks up styling cues from early 20th
century American instruments. The narrower than usual
fingerboard and its slight camber are sympathetic to a player
used to a steel string guitar. The guitar is also equipped with
an Ashworth micro-strip transducer.

Short Scale Bass This short scale bass has been constructed with a straight-thru’ highly figured flamed maple neck and ash body The neck is laminated with walnut and green veneer and reinforced with an adjustable truss rod and two carbon fibre strips. The instrument has a natural looking oil finish which also produces a “fast” neck. |

Sitka Spruce and Quilted Maple Twin Point Mandolin
This twin point style is currently my preferred mandolin shape. The
shape was inspired by a 1925 Lyon & Healy mandolin and its
twin point allows easy access to the higher frets. Click on
the image for more details.

One is designed to echo the vintage American look with herringbone purflings and abalone inlays, the other has a silver crusader cross inlaid into its head. Both are constructed with Indian Rosewood back and sides, Swiss pine soundboards and carbon-fibre reinforced maple necks. |

12 Fret Neck Steel String
This is Gary’s Model L, similar in size to an “OM”.
The guitar is constructed with a Claro Walnut body and a Western Red Cedar top. Decorated with pearl diamond position markers, Herringbone purflings and is bound in Maple.
The 12 fret neck, 45mm wide fingerboard (at nut) and 635mm scale length combine to make this guitar a very comfortable instrument to play; particularly suited to finger-style playing.

Single cutaway solid body
This guitar has a hand carved Bird’s Eye Maple top and neck. The guitar’s design is clean and understated, letting the quality of the materials and craftsmanship speak for themselves. The thinner than normal body makes this solid body practical to play for an extended period of time.
