I am offering for sale this recently completed mandolin (December 2007). This beautiful sounding mandolin has a well-rounded sound with enough “bark” for bluegrass as well as traditional folk music.
As with all of my instruments, this mandolin is built to the highest standard from fine tonewoods. It is constructed with quilted maple back and sides, sitka spruce top and bound in Macassar ebony with delicate purflings accentuated with green lines. Its mahogany neck is laminated with quilted maple and is reinforced with two carbon fibre rods for the ultimate in stability and lightness. The mandolin is French polished which greatly enhances the beauty of the wood.
Macassar ebony is used for the one-piece bridge as well as other detailing throughout the instrument. Tuners are high-quality Grovers.
The twin point body-style allows easy access to the upper frets. The scale length is the traditional 13 7/8” (352mm) and the fingerboard is 30mm wide at the nut.
Although this mandolin can be shipped worldwide, I always want my clients to be 100% happy with their instrument and therefore I invite you to try this mandolin before you purchase.
